Opowieść o trzecim królu Kogurjŏ zwanym Daemusin, który chciał rozrzeszyć włości kraju poza królestwa Booyeo, Nakrang i Imperium Han. Był znany jako "Wielki Bóg Wojny", dzięki licznym militarnym zwycięstwom.
Poprzednim władcą był król Yuri, który żył w ciągłym strachu, że nie zostanie zaakceptowany jako król i gdy czuł się zagrożony, zabił obu synów. Bohater serialu, król Daemusin zobowiązał się, że nie będzie takim człowiekiem, ale gdy dorasta, staje się taki sam jak swój ojciec.
Hodong, syn Daemusina, przygląda się, jak jego ojciec staje się twardy i zimnym człowiekiem. Staje się coraz lepszym królem, dając dobrobyt krajowi, lecz traci miłość swojej rodziny.
Story about 3rd king of Kogurjŏ - Daemusin who wants to spread the territory of his kingdom beyond the Kingdoms of Booyeo, Nakrang and the Han Empire.
Previous ruler of the kingdom, King Yuri lived in constant fear that he could not be accepted as the King so he decide to kill his sons.
Series main character, King Daemusin promise that he will not going to be like his father but when he grows he became exact the same.
Hodong, Daemusin's son sees how his father became the tough and cold-hearted man. Each day Daemusin became greater ruler, giving prosperity to whole kingdom but in the same time he loses his family's love and support.
